SECRET GATHERING
The Penn State Board of Trustees heard former President Eric Barron's diversity plan on Jan. 11, 2021. The trustees' website has no record of any meeting on that date, and the gathering potentially violated Pennsylvania's open meetings law.

Massey has previously reported that for more than a decade, some of the most powerful members of Penn State's Board of Trustees have regularly met in private. No records or minutes are kept.
